It is used with caution to treat anxiety, hypertension, digestive and respiratory problems. It ‘thins out’ heavy catarrh so it is easier to expel and is used to normalize circulation. Applied in a cold compress, it is excellent for clearing bruises and has been used for those who have had a face lift. Never give this oil to anyone who suffers from epilepsy. Myrrh is a tonic that is antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and healing. It is used to treat digestion, loss of appetite, catarrh, bronchitis and skin inflammations. Nutmeg is stimulating to the circulation and the heart and through it has been tested as safe, like all the spice oils it must be used with caution. It is useful warming and toning winter oil to build resistance to colds. It is a gentle tonic which fights bacteria and is a useful deodorizing addition to the bath.
