Tell a girl what a wonderful, beautiful, well dressed or clever girl she is. She will listen eagerly and greedily, even if she only half believes you. Tell her what a wonderful, good looking, well dressed and clever chap you are and unless she loves you to distraction already shell merely think you are a conceited and insufferable bore.
In order to talk to others about themselves interestingly you must interest yourself in them. Study men and women. Not from books. But from the individual men and women themselves.
