Several French cosmetic houses now produce night facial oil which is composed of essential oils in carrier oil. It is an expensive cosmetic but one you can make yourself, creating a face or body oil to give you the therapeutic benefits you wish. Choose up to three or four suitable oils from the list above and blend them in a good quality carrier oil with extra wheat germ and carrot oil as listed in the deluxe blend on page 165 and apply each night. Another way to use essential oils cosmetically is to buy a pure, fragrance – free cream or shampoo and add a few drops of essential oil to it. Or make up a basic herbal cosmetic recipe and ad a few drops in addition to, or instead of, the herbs required in the recipe.
