The massage itself plays a large part both in relaxation and stress management and as a beauty therapy, improving skin circulation. The essential oils also improve skin quality. It seems that they have a strong influence on the interchange of tissue fluid. This encourages the growth of new cells, helps eliminate old cells more quickly and accelerates toxic elimination. In this way toxic deposits and tissue debris are prevented from infiltrating the connective tissues which maintains an improved tissue state, both in the muscle and the skin. It is difficult to achieve this by any other means. The following oils have been tested for toxicity, skin irritation and sensitization and are safe, with certain listed reservations, for normal diluted massage applications. All oils are for external use only.
