The general prunings of disinfectant herbs like thyme, juniper, eucalyptus, pine, sage, rosemary, lavender or the roots of angelica will provide a germ-killing solution with a fresh, pleasant scent. Boil the leaves and stems in water for half an hour. The higher the ration of leaves to water, the stronger the disinfectant will be. Strain and use for washing kitchen surfaces, skins and bathroom facilities. The addition of a little washing up liquid will remove grease from surfaces. Store any excess in the fridge for up to one week.
