The word ‘handsome’ is generally used to describe persons with good looks. But good looks are nature-given, not necessarily acquired. The real worth of a person should be seen through his/her actions. If a person is responsible, performs caringly and efficiently, keeps cleanliness and punctuality, speaks modestly and effectively, behaves with consideration for others and on the whole makes a favorable mark on his friends and colleagues, then his life and bearing can be described as truly handsome. His words, health, behavior and bearing should match his personality. In other words, a person’s external good features should correspond to his inner virtues. Handsomeness is more in action than in appearance. It should be acquired rather than inherited.
