Span of Management: Span of Management is a problem of deciding about the number of subordinates a senior can effectively supervise. Span of control directly affects the number of levels to be created in the organization. Wider spans imply fewer levels and a flat structure of the organisation. Whereas narrow span leads to more levels and a tall organizational structural considerations.
