Hi guys! Nowadays more than anything else, pollution has become the main area of concern. Though government is taking a lot of steps they could not reduce pollution to a great extent. It is mainly due to the increased usage of vehicles. Vehicle is one of the greatest advancements in modern technology. There are various kinds of pollution. Some of them are noise pollution, air pollution etc. Inorder to avoid pollution a device must be fixed in all the vehicles. The muffler is one such a device that reduces pollution to a great extent. Mufflers are designed mainly to avoid noise pollution. In heavy traffic areas these mufflers will be very useful. The mufflers are normally known as back box or silencer. As the name indicates silencers or mufflers are fitted to the exhaust part of the vehicle inorder to reduce sound to a great extent. It is mandatory for a vehicle manufacturer to fix a silencer at the exhaust part of the vehicle (whether it to be two wheeler or four wheeler). Normally four wheelers are said to emit large amount of noise pollution and air pollution. Silencer is considered as one of the important devices in an internal combustion engine. Thanks guys.
