No matter how little you’re earning for you efforts the club will expect to see a turnout generated by your promotions. When you book into a club you’re supposed to do a mailing to everyone you know giving them the details of your gig so they can attend. Most bands make up postcards. Sometimes the club provides them. Usually you have to print them up yourself. Make sure you send out a card to the press and to A & R people announcing all your gigs.
