Pus cells and Bacteria: Pus cells may be found in the urine in inflammation of part of the urinary tract. Micro scopical examination of the urine is the only method that can be recommended for their recognition. The urine should always be cultured when urinary tract infection is best to avoid catheterization. A midstream specimen should be obtained from both male and female patients, and a culture should be made of this as soon as possible after collection.
