This condition is an acute inflammation of the trachea and bronchi caused by photogenic organisms such as Strep. Pneumonia, H. influenza and less frequently Staph Diogenes. Infection by these organisms is a common sequel to Cory influenza, measles and whooping cough and is particularly prone to develop in patients with chronic bronchitis.
Other factors predisposing to the health development of respiratory infection include cold, damp, foggy and dusty atmospheres, and chronic mouth breathing which allows unfiltered and undergarment air to enter the bronchi.
