Chronic Post-hemorrhagic Anemia results from per sis tent or repeated loss of small amounts of blood. The most frequent causes are hemorrhagic, and bleeding from haemorrhoid, alimentary carcinoma and peptic ulcer. Such persistent blood loss causes a progressive fall in hemoglobin. The general signs of anemia are produced, but if the anemia develops very gradually symptoms may not be evident until the hemoglobin has fallen below 7 g. per 100 ml.
