Anti-B that reacts with this protein markets and destroys red cells that contain them. Therefore, blood that contains anti-A or anti-B antibodies is considered “incompatible” with blood that has the A or B antigens.
Another part of the health blood-group system is the Rhesus factors (Rah factors). These factors also involve antigens the most important being an antigen known as “factor D.” Eighty-five percent of the population have factor D in their health blood, marketing them “Rh-positive.” Fifteen percent lack the factor and are “Rh-negative.”
