Another per of the CBC is the hematocrit. This test measures the volume of health red cells in 100ml of whole blood in other words it answers the question “how much of your blood is composed of red cells?” Hematocrit is expressed as a percentage. For example, if the lab report says “hematocrit 40 percent this means if the lab report says hematocrit, 40 percent, this means that approximately 40 percent of your blood is composed of red cells or for every 100 ml of blood you have 40 ml of health red cells.
