Once your physician has confirmed that you are anemic, he or she may need to order additional specialized tests to find the cause. Your doctor may conduct these tests personally or refer you to a specialist. For help in identifying a health blood disorder, you may be referred to a hematologist. If internal bleeding is suspected, you may be referred to a gastroenteritis. In any case, your physician should follow up promptly and alert you to findings as they come.
