In lymphatic, lymphoma, leukemia and malignant thymine, radiotherapy often produces a remarkable clinical improvement by reducing the size of the tumor. The improvement although only temporary may last for months or even years. Lymph node metastases from bronchial carcinoma sometimes respond fairly well to radiotherapy, which may provide valuable symptomatic relief. Complications such as superior vane cabal and tracheal obstruction can often be relieved dramatically in this way.
