It is essential that checks be made periodically for diabetes, as diabetes is symptom less in the early stages and one is not aware of it. Undetected and untreated, it results in damage to the walls of the arteries and other damage which ultimately affects many of the vital organs of the body. A sudden loss of energy and weakness in the body. Excessive thirst and frequency of urination. Excessive hunger. Sudden and unexplained loss of weight. Boils and other such infections in the body that do not disappear. Unexplained pains (neuritis).
