It is believed that sex disperses and wastes energy and that the vital life-force of sex should be used for a more useful and creative purpose. In fact, some time ago the thinking of Mao’s regime in China was that love-making was wasteful and useless. The Roman Catholic Church has held that sex can make one deviate form main purpose in life and reduce one’s powers of concentration. It would appear that Mahatma Gandhi also believed this. In spite of all the advances made in science, there is no agreement on this important question. And there probably never will be a clear answer. Some people, (napoleon was an example of this) work well if they have sex regularly, while others are most inspired when they have no distractions whatsoever by way of sex.
