The body consists of millions of cells which are constantly growing and dying and multiplying are regular intervals. Such tumors may be benign or cancerous: they may stay in the same place in the body for years on end. If a tumor is malignant the cancer cells are sometimes carried to other parts of the body. If a cancerous tumor is removed before the cancer cells travel to other parts of the body, then the danger of cancer is removed. That is why early detection and early treatment is so very necessary. Cancer is either carried in the blood stream or the cancer cells grow directly from one tissue to the other. Cancer kills over a quarter of a million people every year in the
One of the reasons for this fear is because, when many of the older doctors went to medical schools, almost every case of cancer at that time was considered incurable. Normally this process is entirely disciplined and orderly and under control. However, for certain reasons which are still unknown, it sometimes happens that this process in the body is disrupted and there is an uncontrolled growth of cells in an organ. These cells form tumors.
